Who paid for the food?
The animal belongs to everyone, and so do the expenses. FAUNA does the maths between co-carers and tells you, at the end of the month, what caring for them really costs.

- Verified providersNo one joins as a professional without going through verification. Vets and boarding submit their licence and are reviewed by hand by the FAUNA team.
- Insurance comparatorAnswer a short questionnaire and see a ranking of Portuguese insurers for your case.
About the comparator, honestly: the quotes are estimates built from insurers' public information. They help you compare cover and orders of magnitude; they don't replace the insurer's official proposal.
For people who work with animals
FAUNA is also
a working tool.
Providers and shelters don't use the owners' app with a different badge: they have a mode of their own, with its own screens. The account is created in the app and the mode only opens after verification; there's no switch that turns it on by itself.
These accounts haven't opened yet. They open by early October 2026. In the app, under Profile → “I'm a shelter, professional or volunteer”, leave your contact and we'll let you know the day they open.

We don't charge the shelter. We don't charge the adopter. We never have and we never will; it's written in the platform rules, not in a campaign.

The animal's photo leads, the text is sparse and colour always tells you which area you're in. Four screens, four areas, the same language from start to finish.

The account is created in the mobile app; that's where the profiles, the health record, the QR health card, shared expenses and everything else live. The app is in final testing and is coming soon to the App Store.
