About

The super-app for any animal

An animal's life is scattered across places that do not talk to each other: the vaccination booklet in a drawer, the photos on a phone, the vet's number on a piece of paper. FAUNA brings all of that into one place, and does the same for a five-kilo dog and for a dairy cow in a herd of two hundred.

Where we are

This is the first version of FAUNA. The app already works, it is free, and the data of the people using it is stored and protected, but some parts have not opened yet.

You can already use

  • Each animal's record, with its health and documents
  • Vaccines, medication, weight and a calendar with the history
  • Walks recorded with the route on the map
  • The community: posts, stories and groups
  • Adoption, always free
  • The map of vets, shops, parks and shelters
  • Lost and found

Not open yet

  • The Market, for buying and selling
  • Shelter, professional and volunteer accounts
  • Bookings with professionals
  • In-app payments, and the professionals' commission
  • FAUNA Premium. For now everything is free
  • Donations and shelter sponsorship
  • Comparing and taking out insurance
  • The breeding and livestock parts, still unfinished

The full version is expected in early October 2026. Until then, improvements arrive inside the same app, with nobody having to do anything.

While the company is being incorporated, FAUNA is published under the personal name of Alexandre Alves Menezes. When the company exists, the app will move to its name and we will tell everyone, because it changes who is responsible for the data. It is written in the Terms and the Privacy Policy.

The mission

To give any animal, whether companion, equestrian or livestock, a universal, shareable profile that lives alongside the animal and follows it throughout its life. Around that profile we connect services (vets, grooming, training), adoption, the community, and the safety of a QR code on the collar if the animal gets lost.

The principles

  • Adoption is always free

We never charge anything for an adoption, neither the adopter nor the shelter. It is an ethical red line written into the platform's rules.

  • The owner owns the data

Medical history, photos, vaccines, documents: everything can be exported and deleted on request, without having to talk to anyone.

  • Truly multi-species

From fish to cow. The data model works for a 5 kg dog and for dairy cow number 247 in a herd of 200.

  • Speed over features

Every critical action in three taps or fewer: recording a vaccine, sharing the health card, applying for an adoption.

  • The community validates

When the directory opens, no provider will appear without going through verification. And whoever writes as a veterinarian shows it with a badge, not a promise.

Who makes it

FAUNA is made by Alexandre Alves Menezes, in Funchal. While the company is being incorporated, the app is published under his personal name, and it is his name that appears in the Terms and the Privacy Policy as the person responsible for your data.
