Associations, municipal kennels, collection centres, sanctuaries and foster families have their own mode in the app. Animals are published with their full story, and applications arrive with the answers to the responsible-adoption questionnaire already in them, so they can be read before anyone books a visit.

It's not a campaign promise: the publishing form doesn't even have a price field, and the database refuses any amount attached to an animal for adoption. If one day we wanted to charge, we would have to rewrite the schema, and that is exactly the point.

How to get started
- 1Install the app and create the accountThe account is created in the mobile app and starts as a normal account. Shelter mode isn't switched on with a button.
- 2Ask for access to Shelter modeUnder Settings → Modes → Request access. You say what kind of organisation you are: non-profit association, municipal kennel or official collection centre, foster family, sanctuary, and you send the registration or legal statute.
- 3The FAUNA team always verifiesEvery shelter goes through human review, no exceptions and no automatic approval. The documents live in private storage and only the team can access them.
- 4The mode opensOnce the request is approved, the shelter is created and verified, and Shelter mode appears in the app with the panel, the animals and the applications.
